Resonate Volume 1:

Mary: A woman recently divorced, Mary’s self-worth is shaken by the feeling that she is expendable and easily replaced. Representing tens of millions of people whose lives have been turned upside down by divorce, Mary’s silent pain is evident to few. But there is an answer that Mary and other like her need to know.

Patrick: A man jogging along a park path barely gains notice by anyone. That the man is the father of a son buried in a cemetery near the park is never known. Nearly 800,000 Americans will die before their life expectancy this year, but it is their survivors, more than 4 million family members, who wrestle with the “why?” question that disturbs their waking and sleeping hours. Yet, Patrick and the millions like him have a peace available to them, a hope so close, that they simply need someone to tell them.

Gwen: She has a good job and a lot of hours to work it, but Gwen feels hopeless. For over 30 million Americans, working endless hours in barely endurable jobs keeps them just above the poverty line. Credit card debt, medical payments, food and gas price increases…all these factors keep the working poor barely holding on. Yet, the most important thing Gwen needs isn’t really more money, it’s a Hope that gives her a reason to go on….and that Hope is right there, if someone would simply offer it to her.

People: What do you see when you look at people? Have you ever asked the Lord to see them as He does? For the man who simply needs a word of encouragement to the heart broken woman who needs much more than that, Jesus looks at each one and knows their heart and what they need. As Christ-followers, it is our mandate and can be our greatest joy, to share Jesus with people. “Break my heart with the things that break the heart of God” doesn’t seem like a fun prayer, but it is definitely the start of World change....and the start of really Living.
